No. But since the Pharaoh's Army has grown into massive numbers, our collective mind easily permeates all men who are physically close to us. This is why they feel our feelings, and our greatest fear, that of the Enemy, quickly invades them, and intensifies with the thought of abandoning our Pharaoh's protection.

I'm loving this process of breaking down and rebuilding the "soon to be pup." And the added emotional baggage regarding his father is perfect. You followed up that tidbit of information in the tender scene with Titan.

Like most of the other readers commenting here, i thought your story, writing, and imagination were outstanding, but i hated the ending. True that we are writing and reading fiction, but too often fiction can reflect closely enough with reality that it can be really upsetting and onerous. I, for one, am really really tired of evil narcissistic sociopaths who manage to dupe so many people and get away with it. It fans the flames of my fears about such people getting away with shooting someone openly on 5th Avenue or encouraging people to drink bleach, spread a deadly disease, and then not only get away with it but apparently get rewarded in life for it. In reality i love to spend time with friends, neighbors and family, but at the same time assiduously avoid neighbors who tend to be intentionally mean-spirited. I use this site as a break from reality. You are a definitely a good writer with a great imagination and mind for detail, and i probably won't read any more of your work.

This was an excellent story. It was so interesting to see Pigtown from the other side. Prior to this the only Pigtown story I'd read was the one about the police precinct - which is an outstanding story in its own right, but it's really outside Pigtown looking in at the darkness and madness and not fully appreciating the seductive nature of it - just the grim acceptance that someday they will all be sucked into the void.

As per above, I'd say mildy annoying and then some. Good chapter. I felt empathy for Vanhella and glad to see him moving along. I loved how he pushed back to take the tail. Good pup! I can't wait to find out what his name is going to be.

I'm intrigued by the snake scales! it seems like rejection of the light automatically makes one an enemy of the pharaoh although i also cant tell if he just imagined it. i suppose ill have to wait and see but i liked this chapter! the army grows!

You made Bright lose his temper at exactly the right time. As a reader, I had had just enough of Vanhella's attitude. When Bright put his boot on the pig pup's chest and threatened him with neutering for using the Faggot word again, I almost rose from my chair to clap. Beta Bright is not to be trifled with. Vanhella still has rage and hatred. I look forward to the process of him becoming an obedient, compliant and loyal dog. Woof! This chapter was hot. Thank you.
