On the whole, I like this ending and Mark and Steve's choice to do what is best for them! Pacing-wise, the ending did feel quick, but i guess those aren't things that needed to be dwelled on! Looking forward to your next project!

Interesting chapter and an interesting show of power play. It will be interesting to see how Mark reacts to Steve's "non-comment" comment. Honestly, if I were in the situation, I would have done what Steve did and hope my Master/Owner didn't get mad about it because he was fulfilling a role for the company and not as his husband's toy. I would also like to think that Mark would understand that and not be emasculated by it because Mr. Rashid placed Steve in a very difficult position... one Steve didn't want to mess up. If he had replied his Master's, well it could have emasculated Mr. Rashid, which could lose the company the business and leave bad marks for Steve and Mark as a whole. At the same time, Mr. Rashid could also not be emasculated knowing that Steve's loyalty was to his owner/master above all other's. However, it also becomes a quandry because while at the office, as an intern, he is property to be used by everyone. If Steve had answered Mr. Rashid, lying to save grace, it would have even further possibly emasculated Mark in front of all the men there, angering him and so on. It could have also angered Mr. Rashid and could have still left bad marks for Steve for his disloyalty to the man that owned him. On the other hand, it could have pleased Mr. Rashid while bolstering his own ego. Obviously, regardless of the route that was taken, not a single option would have been a good one to take with solid and confirmed results. Therefore, the silence was the better option overall while hoping things weren't messed up between Mark and Steve. If Mark was more of a Dom and a better Dom overall... well... this problem wouldn't be an issue, but Mark not committing to being a Dom is more causing the lines to be blurred for him and putting Steve in a harder position. Their love and caring for one another can't be helped though because of their relationship as husbands. It'll be interesting, for sure, to see how things play out! Hell... even my comment here might affect how you go about the direction of the story and Mark's reaction. That isn't intended, of course, but I know how comments can create those nasty ear-worms that won't leave your brain alone... lol.
