Ooof. That hit some of my buttons so hard it knocked the wind out of me. Black latex cock sheathes are a major vibe. Assimilate me that way any time.

Wow, this is an incredible series! Love the world building and the excellent writing. It’s rare to read something so immersive right from the start. I’m excited to see what happens next with Doug and also to see what happens with Ollie.

@Anonymous More Doug is already being worked on. We're going to see the consequences of Rausch's preference for Edward as it knocks onto Doug - poor dude. As for Ollie - I might have to find a way to bring back his story sooner. Was a bit nervous about the parallel story in terms of engaging people but the commenters seem into it so can work with that because I really got into that character as I was writing him. Thanks for the comment - means a lot to me.

Sometimes, a good story can focus on other things besides sex. It was nice that it happened.

Here's a question to speculate on: What state will Jamie be in on the morning after? Will he still be in full or almost full slave mode? Will he have reverted completely to his angry, unhappy,, and stroppy self? Will he be somewhere in between? Please discuss. I'd love to see what everyone thinks on this.

just binged this overnight after seeing it update on ao3, and then realizing that if it's crossposted there there might be updates somewhere else. incredible story - hot as hell, and it's the worldbuilding and the plot that really sell the sexiness of it. frankly, this story is going to live rent-free in my head for the six months, if not longer. had a few thoughts/questions - would love to hear from others if i missed anything or if i'm completely insane. - onyx is definitely related to valour somehow, right? in chapter 9, kane's point-of-view has the // that previously indicated onyx's power was being used to redirect when he started thinking about valour having family in florida, and there's a few references across the story to onyx having learned behavior from valour or acting like him. they're pretty similar in the moral bankruptcy department, honestly, except onyx is way more likeable. smarmy bastard. definitely my favorite character, as great as the others are. - chapter 6 mentions a number of other drone types. we know most of them, but were DC and DG ever explained? i assume DC is some kind of 'controller' based on context, but i don't remember seeing the DG designation ever again. - i went through all of our named/numbered heroes and villains, and it looks like all of the numbers are accounted for except for 006 (which, based on timeline, should be minotaur) and all of the missing heroes/villains are accounted for except for the 'a hero who wasn't one any more' in chapter 2 (which, based on context, is probably onyx?). very cool seeing how much of this was plotted out from the start! super excited for the next update, whenever that will be. thanks for writing and sharing!

@birdbrained Onyx - Valour - I guess it's possible, but those are pretty tenuous hints. We know that at least some of what Onyx told Kane about his past wasn't true, and it's probably a lot. Given that he's a Trans man who transitioned after he came to the UK, he was clearly no frat boy. On the other hand, he did briefly work at the League. Maybe that came about because he had a cousin in high places. Still, any connection is very tenuous. On the drone types, good observation and attention to detail there. And no, neither DCs or DGs have been mentioned again, and we don't know what they are. And if you matched the number of drone types mentioned to the number of doors, you'll find that there's one type that's still completely unknown. DS-006 is indeed Minotaur. I think the "hero who wasn't one anymore" is a reference to Midnight, not Onyx. For one thing, at that point, Onyx hasn't even entered the story, and while he does seem to have been part of the League in some capacity, it's not clear he was actually a hero. And even if he had been, Jamie has no idea what happened to him. Meanwhile, he just found out last night what happened to Midnight after he disappeared 3 years ago, specifically that he had become a supervillain's minion, possibly voluntarily. He is a "hero who wasn't one anymore."
