What a lovely coincidence, I was just rereading brain feed last night and now here we are with more. I'm glad to see things from Dave's perspective, your stories are lovely, thrilling, and simply amazing in every way as always.

Toy, if that's the case, all you had to do was order me to retrieve this story and post it. As a drone, I follow orders.

of course, the evil plan is to get you to post the story here...and maybe add to it. and to think that only drones had the pleasure of forgetfulness

My apologies again. I delved deeper and found the entire story. It's a six chapter story. Really, guys ... I barely remember writing this. And now I have six chapters to read and reacquaint myself with this old story. As I am the author, I have no problem posting it on this site. But please remember, this story was written in 2007. I'm not going to do an edit. I'm just going to post it "as-is". Thanks, toy, for bringing this to my attention. Expect to see the chapters begin to appear on this site pretty soon.

I might still have a full doc that I copied and pasted back in the day too. Lapsed members needed to get the good stuff when they could afford access! I believe there were another 3-4 installments overall.

Toy ... my apologies. It appears that I did write that story. I went to the malebots site and scoured the stories from 2007. And there it was. It appears this was the first chapter and I never continued it. Or did I? I barely remember writing this. Until I actually started reading the paragraph, I had completely forgotten about this story. I obviously need to copy/paste this into my story catalogue. Thanks for reuniting me with a long, lost story.

to previous poster-- yep, that's it. did it get the author incorrect? even if it did, rubbrsome is still awesome and writes the best transformation stories from the perspective of the person going through it!

There's a Conversion from 2007 on Malebots about a computer company's employees gradually being overtaken and used as software as the main computer goes rogue. The transformees - strapped into dental type chairs - enter an interface all white and meld into robots, and in the real world then have a red mark on their foreheads once converted.

Toy, that premise doesn't sound familiar. I don't think it's my story.

Perhaps the title of the story is incorrect. toys are not known for their memory. toys are not required to think. The story was (is?) on a pay site. The story was about a guy buying and delivering snacks to his friends, who were working at a start-up company building a robot. They felt they were really close, so they did not want to leave. They ended up succeeding, but not in the way they hoped. For this toy, it is one of rubbrsome's favorite stories that it thinks about every so often, when it can.
